Using Dr Paper Software with Works or WordPerfect
The Dr Paper templates work best with MS Word, but you can use them
with other Windows word processors, such as the Works Word Processor, and WordPerfect, with slight variations
in the instructions.
MS WORKS
To create an APA Document using MS Works:
- Click Start, Programs, drpaper4, Works - Create APA Document.
An APA formatted document will open. The margins, page headers, page numbers, and styles
have been built into this document.
- Click File, Save As. Change the File Save As Type to Works document, and then give
the file a new name. Now click Save to save the document.
- Replace the text prompts "Type the Title of the Paper Here", Author, etc., with
the appropriate information.
- Type the paper. Make sure each paragraph is indented on the first line by 5 spaces.
- To create a section heading, type the heading, and then set the style to Heading 1, 2, or 3.
To create an MLA Document using MS Works
- Click Start, Programs, drpaper4, Works - Create MLA Document.
An MLA formatted document will open. The margins, page headers, page numbers, and styles
have been built into this document.
- Click File, Save As. Change the File Save As Type to Works document, and then give
the file a new name. Now click Save to save the document.

REFERENCES
CiteWrite can also be used with these other word processing packages, but requires a few
additional steps:
For intext cites:
Display the author date cite in the Preview box,
and click "Copy." Click in your document, and click "Edit, Paste."
For the reference list:
Click Generate, Bibliography, and OK. Then click in
your document, putting the cursor where you would to place the
Reference List, and click "Paste."
