You can ask BookWhere to search any of the fields in the databases you have selected.
The most common fields to search are displayed on the main dialog. You can click
the
More Search Fields button to search additional fields. A Power Query
option, as well as a Batch Query option, are available for advanced searches.
In this example, we are going to enter search criteria for a simple query.
To enter search criteria for your query:
- Click Actions, Enter a Query to display the dialog. In our example, we have
chosen to search for works authored by Paul Brest:
- Click Search to begin searching the databases for all the records matching your search criteria.
BookWhere will return the search results, with individual titles of works that contain the search terms,
the libraries holding the works, and full record information for works you highlight in the short list.
Our simple search for works by Paul Brest, for instance, returned these results:
