Citation's main edit screen is designed to ressemble a notecard, with labels for the types of information to be included in the record for different types of resource works.

Different forms are used to edit bibliographic information and research notes for different types of source works.

The Enter key and tab key allow you to move between fields.

Page Down displays the next record, and Page Up displays the previous record.

Keyboard shortcuts for general editing will help you work with your bibliographic records efficiently. For multilingual and special characters, Citation uses the standard Windows extended characters keyboard.

You have the option of displaying a preview box (that displays the current record as a formatted citation), list boxes for keywords, authors, journals, and publishers (that display alphabetized lists you can use to help you enter data consistently) and a short list view (that displays a quick index of your datafile you can use to locate records quickly) while you are in the Citation Edit Screen.

A prompt in the lower left hand corner of the Edit Screen displays a brief description of all menu selections.
